Tether, one of the world’s largest stablecoin issuers, has frozen approximately $515 million worth of $USDTon the Ethereum and Tron networks over the past 30 days. According to data from the “$USDTFreeze Tracker” provided by BlockSec, the company has blocked access to assets belonging to hundreds of blacklisted wallet addresses.
According to data shared as of May 7, 2026, Tether has blacklisted a total of 371 addresses on the Ethereum and Tron networks in the last 30 days. Of these addresses, 329 are on the Tron network, while 42 are on the Ethereum network. The total amount of frozen assets is estimated to be approximately $514.69 million.

The data revealed that the majority of the frozen $USDTis located on the Tron network. Approximately $505.92 million worth of $USDTis frozen on Tron, while the amount frozen on the Ethereum network is around $8.77 million.

BlockSec’s real-time tracking platform also revealed that the total number of blacklisted addresses has reached 376. Of these, 333 are on the Tron network and 43 are on the Ethereum network.
Tether has previously blacklisted addresses suspected of being linked to illegal activities, sanctions violations, fraud, and money laundering, and frozen the associated $USDTholdings.
